110f – Making Performance Evaluations Meaningful

Most of us have experienced the torturous annual performance evaluation process. The time spent is often wasted on trying to remember what happened during the year and if any of it mattered. Too often this process is not helpful for anybody’s development or for making the school district better. Learn about an alternative approach that synchronizes employee growth and organizational improvement in a much more useful and productive process. This is a combined session with the technology directors.

110g – Amway Grand Plaza Hotel Technology and Security

The lines between technology and facilities have blurred considerably as we recognize how more and more building systems, from climate control to access control, are all running over a network. Schools are not unique in this scenario. Hotels, for example, interact with multitudes of different customers every day, and much of that interaction is done digitally. They also have hundreds of spaces requiring climate control and security. How do they integrate their technology efforts with their facilities? Hear from the experts at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel on how they approach these issues to ensure everything interfaces seamlessly. We’ll also take a tour and see where many of these operations take place. This is a combined session with the technology directors.

Presenter(s): Patrick Boyd, Michael Mosele, and Josh Serba, Amway Hotel Corporation
