Investing in MSBO Members Scholarship

The MSBO Board of Directors expanded its Investing in MSBO Members Scholarship program to include 10 scholarships for the MSBO Introduction to School Business Conference  and four Certification Track scholarships.

The purpose of these scholarships is to provide opportunities for professional development to MSBO members currently employed in school business to improve their skills and competencies in school business management.

A total of four Certification Track scholarships are available – one scholarship randomly selected from each of the following certification track categories:

Business Office (1 Scholarship)
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Business Office Manager (BOM)
Business Office Specialist (BOS)
School Payroll Specialist (SPS)

Pupil Accounting (1 Scholarship)
Pupil Accounting Specialist (PAS)
Pupil Accounting Auditor (PAA)
Specialist in Educational Data (SED)

Support Services (1 Scholarship)
Certified Facilities Director (CFD)
Certified Operations Director (COD)
Certified Transportation Director (CTD)
Child Nutrition Director (CND)

Other (1 Scholarship)
Certified Purchasing Officer (CPO)
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Human Resource Specialist (HRS)

An MSBO member can only be awarded a scholarship for one certification track. Those members that have already started in a certification track are eligible for a scholarship. (This scholarship is not for certification renewal.)

The application deadline for scholarship consideration is October 29, 2021. Random Selection will be made after the deadline. Scholarships are for registration fees for classes offered by MSBO (some tracks include classes not offered by MSBO). Scholarships do not include expenses for travel, meals or accommodations.
