MSBO recognizes the extraordinary contributions of MSBO members to their school district, their communities and to MSBO through its awards program. MSBO also invests in your future by offering scholarships for furthering your education. We encourage you to apply for these scholarships and awards.
Awards
MSBO’s School Business Official of the Year recognizes an individual’s service to a school district, the profession, and colleagues; the Meridian Award recognizes successful practices in all areas of school management; and the Distinguished Service Award honors recipients that have attained the highest level of professional accomplishments.

Scholarships
Mark and Kay Stebbins Scholarship
MSBO offers a $2,000 Stebbins Scholarship to active members in honor of Mark and Kay Stebbins. This scholarship program encourages and recognizes individuals currently employed in school business who are improving their technical skills and competencies by furthering their education, including pursuing MSBO voluntary certification and undergraduate degree.
Wally Piper Scholarship
MSBO offers a $3,000 Piper Scholarship to active members in honor of Wally Piper. This scholarship program encourages and recognizes individuals currently employed in school business who are improving their technical skills and competencies by pursuing a graduate degree.
