MSBO Voluntary Certification Program
Scholarship Application
Random Selection will be made after the deadline.
A total of four scholarships are available – one from each of the tracks detailed below.
The deadline is September 4, 2025.
Required Criteria for all scholarships:
- Must be an MSBO member
Additional Criteria
Each member can only be awarded a scholarship for one certification track. Those members that have already started in a certification track are eligible for a scholarship, any class already taken is not reimbursable. The scholarship will be applied to all certification classes moving forward. (This scholarship is not for certification renewal.)
Expectations of Scholarship Recipients:
- Engagement in MSBO. Recommend attending MSBO committee meetings virtually or in person related to your functional area.
Costs Covered:
- Scholarships are for registration fees for classes offered by MSBO (some tracks include classes not offered by MSBO).
- Scholarships do not include expenses for travel, meals or accommodations.
Note:
Applicants may also apply for the MSBO’s Stebbins Scholarship, which can be used for school business related professional development. Criteria can be found on the MSBO website. Deadline is January 31, 2026.

Pupil Accounting (1 Scholarship)

Support Services (1 Scholarship)
- Facilities Director (CFD)
- Operations Director (COD)
- Transportation Director (CTD)

Other (1 Scholarship)
- Purchasing Officer (CPO)
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
- Human Resource Specialist (HRS)
