MSBO Bus Purchase Program

The program allows MSBO member school districts to purchase quality buses at competitive prices by issuing an Invitation to Bid to interested dealers. MSBO organizes and compiles dealer proposals into a price list, enabling districts to compare pricing electronically. MSBO’s role is limited to soliciting proposals, informing districts of bid results, and coordinating bus purchases, without verifying compliance with base bus specifications. Dealers agree to meet these specifications by participating, and MSBO facilitates the comparison of prices and options. Districts can negotiate additional options directly with vendors, but should consult legal counsel to ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies.
