Bus Purchasing at Your Fingertips

As you consider your district’s bus needs, don’t forget about MSBO’s Bus Purchasing Program.  All the bidding has been done for you; all you need to do is select your bus style and any options you’d like, compare pricing among the participating dealers, and then make your purchase.

The 2026-27 Bus Purchasing Program is currently Open. The Phase 1 Program dates are October 12, 2026 – February 12, 2027.

Click Here to visit the Bus Purchasing Program website.

Get flexibility and customization when purchasing buses. It retains your information as you “build” your buses so you can step away at any time, keeping you from having to reenter all your data.

You will find step-by-step instructions, dealer contact information, full base specifications, and a list of all options  –  Conventional, Special Needs, Transit Rear Engine, Transit Front Engine, and A-II style buses are all offered. In addition, electric school buses are now offered in Conventional, Transit and A-II styles. It’s not a sole source bid – districts can compare and choose among the bidding dealers who represent all the bus manufacturers: International, Blue Bird, RIDE, and Thomas/Freightliner.
