The ASBO International Emerging Leaders Scholarship recognizes school business professionals with five or fewer years in the field and helps them develop into tomorrow’s leaders.
The 2025 Emerging Leaders Scholarship program will provide 20 recipients registration for ASBO International’s 2025 Annual Conference & Expo, which will be held in Fort Worth Texas, October 21-23, 2025, and up to $2,000 each to cover travel and lodging expenses.
- Individuals may only receive this scholarship once.
- Applicants must have been a school business professional for five years or fewer as of June 1 of the current year. This includes combined time in present and previous positions in current and other school districts.
- Membership with ASBO International or ASBO affiliate is not required. If a recipient is not currently an ASBO International member, the ASBO International membership fee will be deducted from the $2,000 scholarship.
- Applicants must be currently employed full-time by a school district through December 31 of the current year. This includes finance and accounting, purchasing, food service/nutrition, risk management, transportation, facilities, and other positions that fall under the school business office purview.
- Previous applicants can reapply if they still meet eligibility requirements.
Once selected, scholarship recipients are required to attend all Emerging Leaders Scholarship activities at ASBO International’s Annual Conference and Expo, complete their online profile in the Global School Business Network, and participate in the community created for Emerging Leaders Scholars.
