Have you ever thought about running for the MSBO Board of Directors? Maybe you have thought about it and have wondered about the time and commitment? In an effort to provide more detailed information about serving on the MSBO Board, we have prepared detailed FAQs you can find on the MSBO website, which outlines the election process and roles and responsibilities of board members.
There are two (2) seats up for election on the MSBO Board in 2019. One open seat as Steve Ezikian leaves the Board after finishing his year as Immediate Past President, and current board member Dena Mayer’s seat is also up.
Steve Ezikian, MSBO’s Immediate Past President, serves as the current Chair of the MSBO Nominations Committee. The Nominations Committee includes the MSBO President, President Elect, Immediate Past President and the first two other most recent past MSBO presidents that are active members and willing to serve on the committee. This committee will select and present nominees to the membership for elected positions.
Names may be presented to the Nominations Committee for consideration and possible nomination by submitting a petition with at least 30 active member signatures to the committee chair on or before December 1, 2018. If you’re interested in being a candidate, or would like to nominate someone for the committee to consider, call Steve Ezikian at (734) 334-1451, or email at ezikias@resa.net.
If you would like more information about running for the board, please read the detailed MSBO Elections Booklet and FAQ’s on the MSBO website or contact Immediate Past President Steve Ezikian, MSBO Executive Director David Martell or Nancy Hawkins at 517-327-5920.
