MSBO 80th Annual Conference & Exhibit Show
April 17-19, 2018
Cobo Center, Detroit
MSBO’s 80th Annual Conference offers breakout sessions specifically designed to accommodate new and veteran business managers; directors of facilities, transportation, food service, human resources, technology; and yes, superintendents too!
The price includes all meals in addition to the many opportunities to gain knowledge and information which helps your district stay in compliance and become more effective and efficient in the delivery of education. Implementing just one or two good ideas in your district more than justifies the expense and time of attending!
The opening General Session features Dr. Nell Duke from the University of Michigan School of Education sharing how we, as business officials, can do our part to support improvements in early literacy. She will share concrete steps that district administrators should take—and avoid—to improve early literacy outcomes.
Our Wednesday luncheon keynote features Byron Reese. An Inventor, technologist, author, entrepreneur, and an eternal optimist. He describes himself as a person “excited by life and enthralled by the wonders it contains.” He will share how education should and will change to ensure students contribute in a world of radical technological change and daunting global challenges.
These are just a few of the conference highlights. Tuesday, April 17, we are offering six Pre-Conferences that focus on specific issues facing Finance, Facilities, Food and Nutrition Services, Human Resources, Technology and Transportation. And, new this year are three half-day workshops on Tuesday: Getting to the Core of Your Work, ORS Processors’ Workshop, and The Future of American Health Care Reform. Learn more about these workshops by downloading the brochure.
