Passing of the Gavel  

The 2021-22 MSBO Board of Directors will take office at the closing general session of the virtual Annual Conference on Thursday, April 22, 2021, where current Board President Bill Chatfield will “virtually” pass the gavel to incoming Board President Dena Mayer.

The 2021 MSBO Board of Directors election was conducted March 31 – April 14, 2021 using the secure online/email voting system provided by ASBO International. MSBO active member (2,722 eligible voters) were sent email invitations to participate in the election. By the close of the election, 880 confirmed votes (32.33% of those eligible) were cast.

Tim Peraino, Director of Facilities, Kent ISD is the newly elected board member, serving a 3-year term.

Incumbents Mary Beth Rogers, Executive Director of Business Services, Clarkston Community Schools and Stephanie Weese, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Livingston ESA were re-elected and will serve another three-year term on the board.

President-elect Julie Omer, CFO, Chief Financial Officer, Owosso Public Schools will begin her 1-year term.  According to the MSBO Bylaws, after successfully being elected, the President-Elect automatically succeeds to President and Immediate Past President without an election.
