MSBO Keeping Members Connected

Social distancing and Stay home, Stay safe, Save lives – terms we’ve become all too familiar with. Obviously, one of the unfortunate byproducts of practicing these cautionary directives is not being able to attend events with our friends and colleagues.

One step MSBO has taken to help bring our members together has been to hold “Town Hall” and virtual committee meetings in lieu of some of our physical committee meetings. We have held these meetings for finance, facilities, transportation, and technology. They have all been well attended and great sharing has occurred.

In these times of such great uncertainty, just connecting with peers to hear how they’re handling various issues can help us all think more broadly. Unfortunately, for many of the questions there still aren’t definite answers, but realizing we’re not alone in the search for those answers can hopefully bring some level of comfort!

Nothing can take the place of in person interaction but connecting virtually has become a convenient alternative. We’ll be holding these town hall meetings periodically – watch the listservs for information on how to participate in the next “virtual” Town Hall or committee meeting.
