All conference and pre-conference meal tickets are provided with your registration. Registration fees include breakfast and lunch.

Registration Hours at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel:

  • Monday, April 24: 5:00 – 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday, April 25: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 26: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, April 27: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

You will earn SCECH/CPEs based on the sessions you attended.  We recommended that you use the Conference At-A-Glance in the program to create a personal record of what sessions you attended. You will receive an emailed Certificate of Completion for SCECH and CPE (CPA) credits. Additionally, if you are in the MOECS system, your credit will be uploaded. If you have any questions on SCECHs, please email Deneen Hansen. 50 minutes equals 1 CPE and 60 minutes equals 1 SCECH. SCECH credit is rounded down to the quarter hour. There is a maximum of 20 SCHECH hours that can be earned.

Q1: Is there a virtual option for this conference?
A1: There is not a virtual option for the 2023 Annual Conference. It will be great to see everyone in person!

 

Q2: Will there be limited class sizes?
A2: We do not plan to limit the class sizes and will do our best with spacing.

 

Q3: Does MSBO have COVID protocols for the Conference?
A3: MSBO’s top priority is always the health and safety of our attendees. MSBO monitors coronavirus information from the conference host hotel – the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the DeVos Place, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local Michigan Departments of Health and Human Services. MSBO will update attendees concerning information that may impact the Conference.

 

Q4: Do the conference hotels have COVID protocols?
A4: Yes. Some hotel amenities may be limited or not available. Be sure to check with your hotel to learn their current protocols.

 

Q5: When is onsite conference registration open?
A5: Conference registration is at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and here are the hours:

  • Monday, April 24: 5:00 – 7:00 pm

Q6: How many CPEs/SCECHs can I get?
A6: You will earn CPEs/SCECHs based on the sessions you attend. Attendees will have to complete the 2023 MSBO Annual Conference Evaluation and SCECH/CPE SurveyMonkey. A link will be provided on the Annual Conference website. Be sure to indicate all sessions attended. You will receive an emailed Certificate of Completion for SCECH and CPE (CPA) credits.

There is a maximum of 20 SCECHs that can be earned.

 

Q7: Where should I park at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel?
A7: Amway Grand Plaza Hotel Parking (availability and pricing are subject to change):

  • How much is parking for registered hotel guests?
    • $35 per night for self-parking $39 per night for valet parking (Both allow 24-hour in-and-out access).
  • Are both valet and self-parking available?
    • Valet and self-parking are available to overnight guests. Valet parking is located in the motor lobby off of the Pearl Street entrance. Self-parking is available in the Amway Grand Parking Ramp. The Amway Grand Parking
      Ramp entrance is located on the corner of Pearl Street and Monroe Avenue.
  • Where is the motor lobby/main hotel entrance located?
    • If heading south on Monroe Avenue, make a right onto Pearl Street to locate valet and self-parking. If headed north on Monroe Avenue, make a left onto Pearl Street to locate valet and self-parking.

 

Q8: Is other parking available?
A8: Yes. A downtown Grand Rapids Parking Map is available under the Experience Grand Rapids accordion.

 

Q9: What is the attire for the Conference?
A9: Both business and business casual are acceptable for all meetings and events. We recommend using the “layered method” to give you flexibility to adjust to the room temperatures.

Get up and get going early at the SET SEG Fun Run during the MSBO Annual Conference & Exhibit Show! Join SET SEG and MSBO for a 5K Run/Walk around downtown Grand Rapids. Participants who register early will receive a commemorative t-shirt and prizes will be awarded for the fastest times! *Participants must register by Friday, March 31 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

“Early Birds” Get the Prizes
If you register by March 3, 2023 you are automatically eligible for the Early Bird Prizes. Winners will be noted in individual exhibitor booths.

 

Exhibitor Drawings

On Thursday, participating exhibitors draw for prizes from business cards collected in their booths. Winners will be displayed on a centrally located bulletin board.

 

Closing Session Drawings

Prizes, such as overnight stays at MSBO event hotels, will excite and entice you to stay for this year’s MSBO Annual Business Meeting.

Don’t Let This Happen to You 

MSBO does not work with outside companies for overnight accommodations. We recommend only booking overnight rooms directly with hotels using our room blocks so you can get the preferred rates. If you are contacted by someone claiming to be with MSBO or any company that says they are closely associated with MSBO and want to book your accommodations for the 2023 MSBO Annual Conference, they are not being truthful!
