PaySchools Update: New Partner
Several weeks ago,we informed you that PaySchools credit card transactions will be processed by a new partner starting this summer. We've worked over the past month to evaluate different options, in order to best meet the needs of our customers. As we evaluated options, we had the following criteria:
- continue our current processes for schools so that any transition is seamless and does not require changes in the way you use PaySchools.
- ensure site security and create a solution in which neither PaySchools nor district staff have access to credit card information.
- maintain, if not increase, the payment options available for PaySchools end-users.
We are very pleased to announce that PaySchools has elected to partner with PayPal and we will be transitioning our credit card processing to the PayPal system this month. As in the past, customers will still be able to complete online payments using an electronic check or credit/debit card. In addition, patrons will also have the option of using a PayPal account to pay online through PaySchools. Please note that establishing a PayPal account will not be required for electronic check or credit/debit card payments.
Later this month we will be forwarding additional information about this exciting new partnership so that you can update PaySchools information available on your district web site confirming the continued availability of PaySchools to process electronic check, credit/debit card and now also PayPal account transactions.
